  The receptionist was the only bright spot of this trip. We took our dog in today because he had an eye issue. It is Saturday, so they were short staffed, and there was not a veterinarian on duty, but rather a couple of vet technicians. After about 30 minutes, we were told that they had no idea what was wrong with my dog's eye, and said we needed to go to an emergency vet. Before we left, the vet tech said, "I've seen something like this before, and it was serious. The dog ended up losing the eye." After saying this he said, "but hey, it could also be allergies." And then he sent us on our way. Are you kidding me man?? You don't even know what's wrong with him, but you're telling me casually that he'll probably lose his eye? Anyway, I totally understand the vets not wanting to come in on the weekends, but don't leave technicians, who can't properly diagnose animals, in charge. Also, we are at the emergency specialist now, and it turned out to just be allergies. Again, if you don't have a staff member who can diagnose an allergy, don't be open on the weekends.
